Meet Cub, a gorgeous, blue-eyed palomino 2007 stud
colt. He is by QTS Crystal Bear, an
own son of QT Poco Streke, and out of Cajun Breezing Miss. His dam’s pedigree includes Cajun Joe Jet,
Easy Jet, Major Bonanza, and Top Deck, and she currently has a four-year old
son showing success in working cowhorse training. QTS Crystal Bear is a multiple NRHA
Champion and Reserve World Champion, and APHA champion. He was 2007 NRHA high
point horse of the year in ranch horse
competition. Cub is already showing a
great deal of promise for future competition.
As a foal, he loved to run and play in the pasture, had very smooth
gaits, and could do rollbacks and turn on and off speed like a trained
reining horse doing his slow and fast circles. He is beautiful to watch. He continued showing promise as his
training continued – he is smart and willing to try what is asked. He has been saddled, bridled, and round-penned. He follows voice commands, gives to
pressure, and has a beautiful collected back with a nice headset. He is quickly learning to turn on the
forehand, and turn on the haunch in-hand, correctly crossing over. His talent won’t be limited to reining – he
loved to chase the goat down a fence like a reined cow horse, and he and his
new companion, Peppy the donkey, play in the same way. In addition to his athleticism and beauty,
he is very calm, sweet, and friendly.
Our farrier keeps referring to Cub as “she” because he just doesn’t
act like a stud! With his palomino
color, pedigree, calm nature, and show ring potential, Cub will also make a
wonderful stud prospect. APHA Breeders
