Gun Spot Gun

2010 Bay Tobiano Stallion

Colonels Lone Gun by Gunner x LS Poco Dot Spot by Mark This Spot

His pedigree speaks for itself:  he is a grandson of the great reining sire Gunner; his sire is an NRHA Bronze Trophy winner, 2003 APHA World Jr Reining Top 10 Finalist and 2004 APHA World Jr Reining Top 5 Finalist, 2002 SWRHA Futurity Int. Open Finalist (5th), 2005 Wimpys Little Step Int. Open Derby Champion, APHA (16) Life Time Performance Points, APHA Reining ROM; his dam is a daughter of Mark This Spot, 1998 APHA World Show Champion Reining Futurity, 1998 NRHA Top Ten Futurity Finalist, 1999 APHA World Champion Jr. Reining, 1999 APHA World Show Champion Freestyle Reining, Open USET Finalist, and more.  This is Paint reining bloodlines at the best!

Traveller, as we call him, is a very sweet, well-mannered, and smart colt.  He’s very easy to handle and train, and he’s friendly and loves people.  Of course, he leads, ties, loads and trailers, backs up, gives to pressure, is groomed, and picks up his feet.  He has been groundworked and saddled.  He has never tried to bite or kick, and is pleasant to be around.

As well as having a good mind, Traveller is extremely athletic.  He’s very active and curious, and loves running and playing with his pal, Peppy the donkey.  They run together, and Traveller will circle him up like a cowhorse.  Traveller also loves running from one corner of his pasture to the other, coming to a really nice sliding stop at the corner.  He’s going to make a fantastic reiner.

Traveller is NRBC, Futurity and Derby enrolled, and is almost ready to start his training under saddle.  This colt is offered for sale; see our sale page for details.

Star in the Spotlight

2011 Bay Tovero Mare

Starlights Wrangler by Grays Starlight x LS Poco Dot Spot by Mark This Spot

Luna may be the cutest foal we have ever had!  One side of her head is solid bay.  The other side is white, with spots around her eye and mouth.  Her eyes are a beautiful blue and she’s got a puffy white mane.  She’s very sturdy and well put together.  Everyone who sees her thinks she is adorable.

Luna is more than just a pretty face.  Her pedigree is stellar.  Her sire is Starlights Wrangler; 2002 NRBC Open Champion and 2003 USET Silver Medalist with NRHA lifetime earnings of $125,000+.  Her grandsire is Grays Starlight, NRHA and NCHA million dollar sire, NRCHA Hall of Fame.  Luna’s dam is a daughter of Mark This Spot; 1998 APHA World Show Champion Reining Futurity, 1998 NRHA Top Ten Futurity Finalist, 1999 APHA World Champion Jr. Reining, 1999 APHA World Show Champion Freestyle Reining, Open USET Finalist, and more.

Luna is very smart, and learns quickly.  She leads, ties, picks up her feet, gets groomed, backs, and gives to pressure.  She’s a very sweet girl, and loves people, but she can also be very spirited.  She has a very high opinion of herself, and thinks the world revolves around her.  And with her looks, breeding, and a name like Star in the Spotlight, she’s not wrong!

This filly will be NRBC, Futurity and Derby nominated.  She’s going to make an incredible reining horse, and then a wonderful addition to a breeding program.
