BREEDING FOR COLOR, PERFORMANCE, AND HEART

- Come to Finally Farm Paints for your next cutting, reining, working cow, or all-around performance prospect! -

At Finally Farm Paints, we have a small but fantastic band of broodmares, carefully selected for their pedigrees, conformation, temperament, genetics, and color.  All of our mares have pedigrees that include champions and NRHA, NCHA, and race money earners.  Their bloodlines include performance greats such as Doc O’ Lena, Peptoboonsmal, Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar, Colonel Freckles, Gay Bar King, Major Bonanza, Cajun Joe Jet, Smart Peppy, Royal Blue Boon, Sergeant Freckles, Rebel Cause, Mark This Spot, Poco Lena, Tough Breeze, and Glacier.

In addition to stellar pedigrees and beauty, our mares are athletic, sweet, and well-mannered.  We breed for these traits in our foals as well.  We also breed for good bone, sturdy feet, and nice muscle.  We breed to top APHA and AQHA stallions with successful show records.  Our small size and careful breeding program allow us to select for the genetic combinations, performance records and dispositions that will produce the best foals.  Breeding to outside stallions allows us to bring in a diverse range of genes and bloodlines, without the risks and complications of in-breeding or line-breeding.  In addition, we personally care for each mare and foal.  We carefully monitor each mare’s pregnancy and provide proper nutrition, exercise, and pre-natal veterinary care.  Foals are imprinted shortly after birth, and we continue to work consistently with each foal, teaching them to lead within a few days, then to back up, give to pressure, walk over tarps, and have their legs and feet handled.   We strive to give excellent customer service to anyone inquiring about one of our foals.

Our horses are a business, but also a labor of love.  We care deeply about our mares and foals, and about improving the Paint Horse breed.  We are confident that our foals will have what it takes to complete and win.

Our breeding objectives are to:

-         Become a leading breeder of all-around APHA performance horses.

-         Build a solid broodmare herd with the best of temperaments and the finest cutting, reining, working cowhorse, and APHA performance bloodlines.

-         Improve the Paint Horse breed with wise breeding crosses and early handling and training of young stock

-         Maintain effective customer relationships that keep our breeding, sales, and boarding customers coming back for our services, while, at the same time, forging new relationships through our excellent reputation in the industry.

WE TREAT YOUR HORSE LIKE IT’S OUR OWN

- Board your special horse at Finally Farm Paints -

Finally Farm is small, friendly, quiet, and family-run, and is comfortable and safe for your horses.  Finally Farm offers 12 x 12 matted stalls, daily turnout on four acres of pasture, a 12 x 16 tackroom, and pasture and nearby trails for riding.  We provide full care which includes an individual feeding and care regimen for each horse.  Arrangements are available for special needs of younger, older, or injured horses.  Finally Farm has a new barn and new fencing that were built with an emphasis on horse comfort and safety.  The barn was custom designed with horse health and comfort as primary considerations.  It is bright and airy, and well lit for those rainy Western Washington days.  There is a concrete central aisle where you can groom and tack up your horse.  We also have an outdoor wash area.  Each boarder will have the use of a saddle rack, a bridle holder, and shelf space in the tack room.  Our facility is close to the towns of Shelton, Washington in Mason County and Elma and Montesano in Grays Harbor County, and a comfortable driving distance from Olympia and Aberdeen.  Our monthly full care boarding fee is only $180.00 per month!
