Finally Farm Guesthouse

Our Broodmares are the Foundation of our Champion Producing Program

At Finally Farm Paints, we choose our broodmares with the utmost care.  We seek the best performance bloodlines of reining, cutting, roping, and cowhorse Paints and Quarter Horses.  We look carefully at conformation and movement; athleticism, strong bone, balance, nice muscling, and good feet are essential.  Friendly, curious, and pleasant dispositions are important; the mare must fit in with our program that involves daily handling, as well as handling of their foals from birth.  And, because we breed Paints, the mares are colorful and pretty to look at.  All of our mares have had 6 panel genetic tests, as well as white pattern tests.  All mares receive the best of nutrition geared toward their stage of pregnancy or lactation.  They all receive appropriate vaccinations, de-wormers, and farrier work.  All expecting mares are monitored carefully in large foaling stalls in the couple of weeks prior to foaling.

Uvaldes Cow Smart

"Nikki" is the producer of a 3X APHA World Champion and NRCHA Derby Finalist and Open Hackamore Champion (Peptos Smart Cookie).  She is a strikingly beautiful mare by Peptosmart (Peptoboonsmal) out of Uvaldes Golden Doll (Uvalde Gay).  Nikki is a tobiano buckskin, which shows up as a sooty black, and is very athletic and quick.  She has had two foals so far:  Peptos Smart Cookie, by Cookin Merada, who is enjoying a very successful show career in the NRCHA and APHA; and Holy Cow Cub Wins, by QTs Cajun Cub, who is a gorgeous colt in training for cowhorse at Steffen Performance Horses.  Nikki is currently pregnant and due in May 2020 with a foal by QTs Cajun Cub.  This foal is currently available for sale in utero.

Lenas Diamond Bonanza

"Diamond" is a product of Finally Farm Paints' own breeding program.  She is a beautiful sorrel tobiano with a fun and loving disposition.  She enjoys being with people, and is a willing partner.  She is athletic and cowey.  Her sire is Lenas Diamond Chex (Doc O Lena) and is out of our own World Champion producer Cajun Breezing Miss (Cajun Elipse).  Diamond has given us four foals.  Diamonds N Wranglers is by Starlights Wrangler and is in reining training, and is much-loved by his non-pro owner.  Diamonds Gun Dunnit is by Pale Face Dunnit, and is in reining training; we hope to see him at the NRHA Futurity next year.  Lucky Jac of Diamonds is by Gay Bar Lucky Jac, and is the new partner to a young lady who hopes to use him in her high school equestrian team.  Docs Diamond Wrangler is also by Starlights Wrangler and is currently for sale.

Star in the Spotlight

A daughter of Starlights Wrangler (Grays Starlight) and LS Poco Dot Spot (Mark This Spot), "Luna" is a product of Finally Farm Paints' breeding program.  She is a lovely, colorful bay tovero mare.  Luna was sent to training with Hendricks Reining Horses, but unfortunately sustained an injury prior to her first show.  Currently she is a fun riding partner and has a very willing manner.  She will most likely enter our breeding program as a broodmare in 2020, and we are considering breeding her to Colonels Nite Special/Gunners Special Nite.  Luna is going to make an amazing mother and we are looking forward to her foals.

Dual Delta Blue's Pedigree

Dual Delta Blue

This is our newest horse!  She was a diamond in the rough; she was discovered in a kill pen, and we rescued her and brought her to a loving, forever home.  This horse has an amazing cutting pedigree.  A product of an embryo transfer from the famed 6J Paints, "Bonnie" is the daughter of Doc Dual Pepto (Peptoboonsmal) and Delta Blue (Delta Flyer).  She is a sorrel tobiano, very athletic, really smart, and quite cowey; she gets down super low when moving side to side.  We are planning to breed her to QTs Cajun Cub in 2020, and know it will be an amazing cross for a working cowhorse prospect.  Stay tuned!

Cajun Breezing Miss

"Breeze" was our foundation mare, our herd leader, and the dam of 2X World Champion QTs Cajun Cub.  Breeze also produced Color Me Cajun (by LS Smart N Hot) who sorted and is now a riding horse in Florida, Lenas Diamond Bonanza (by Lenas Diamond Chex) who is now one of our broodmares, and Sacred Mountainbreeze (by Sacred Indian) who is one of our riding horses, and will join our broodmare band.  Breeze has seven grandfoals to date, and we have high hopes for them in the reining, cowhorse, and roping pens.  We have a huge amount of gratitude for Breeze for starting us on this amazing journey.  We miss her.
