Our Broodmares are the Foundation of our Champion Producing Program

At Finally Farm Paints, we choose our broodmares with the utmost care.  We seek the best performance bloodlines of reining, cutting, roping, and cowhorse Paints and Quarter Horses.  We look carefully at conformation and movement; athleticism, strong bone, balance, nice muscling, and good feet are essential.  Friendly, curious, and pleasant dispositions are important; the mare must fit in with our program that involves daily handling, as well as handling of their foals from birth.  And, because we breed Paints, the mares are colorful and pretty to look at.  All of our mares have had 6 panel genetic tests, as well as white pattern tests.  All mares receive the best of nutrition geared toward their stage of pregnancy or lactation.  They all receive appropriate vaccinations, de-wormers, and farrier work.  All expecting mares are monitored carefully in large foaling stalls in the couple of weeks prior to foaling.

Uvaldes Cow Smart

"Nikki" is the producer of a 3X APHA World Champion and NRCHA Derby Finalist, Open Hackamore Champion, and Res.World Champion Open Bridle (Peptos Smart Cookie).  She is the Equistat #4 dam of APHA reined cow horses!  She is a strikingly beautiful mare by Peptosmart (Peptoboonsmal) out of Uvaldes Golden Doll (Uvalde Gay).  Nikki is a tobiano buckskin, which shows up as a sooty black, and is very athletic and quick.  She has had three foals so far:  Peptos Smart Cookie, by Cookin Merada, who is enjoying a very successful show career in the NRCHA and APHA; and Holy Cow Cub Wins, by QTs Cajun Cub, who is showing in NRCHA competition, and a filly, QTs Smart Adalida by QTs Cajun Cub.  This filly is our next NRCHA, prospect and will go into training with Shane Steffen.

Star in the Spotlight

A daughter of Starlights Wrangler (Grays Starlight) and LS Poco Dot Spot (Mark This Spot), "Luna" is a product of Finally Farm Paints' breeding program.  She is a lovely, colorful bay tovero mare.  Luna was sent to training with Hendricks Reining Horses, but unfortunately sustained an injury prior to her first show.  Currently she is a fun riding partner and has a very willing manner.  She is has very unique markings (half of her face is bay and half is white with a spot around her eye) and beautiful blue eyes.  She will be bred to Electric Snow in 2022.  Luna is going to make an amazing mother and we are looking forward to her foals.

Dual Delta Blue

This is our newest horse!  She was a diamond in the rough; she was discovered in a kill pen, and we rescued her and brought her to a loving, forever home.  This horse has an amazing cutting pedigree.  A product of an embryo transfer from the famed 6J Paints, "Bonnie" is the daughter of Doc Dual Pepto (Peptoboonsmal) and Delta Blue, who is APHA Reserve World Champion in Open Cuttng (by Delta Flyer).  She is a sorrel tobiano, very athletic, really smart, and quite cowey with all the trademark cutting horse moves.   Bonnie produced a beautifully marked sorrel homozygous tobiano colt in 2021, QTs Blue Bayou, sired by 2X World Champion QTs Cajun Cub; he is an amazing cross for a working cowhorse prospect.  Bonnie is bred back to Cub for a 2022 foal.  Stay tuned!

Sacred Mountainbreeze

"Lucy" is the last daughter of multiple World Champion, World Champion Sire, race winner, and APHA Hall of Fame stallion Sacred Indian.  Out of our foundation broodmare, Cajun Breezing Miss, Lucy is the maternal half-sister to our own Multiple World Champion, QTs Cajun Cub.  Lucy is bay tobiano, with unique roan markings.  She is fast and athletic, with a great disposition.  Lucy has a solid all-around pedigree with a lot of cow, and would make an amazing ranch horse competitor, if she hadn't joined our broodmare lineup!  Lucy produced a gorgeous filly by APHA World Champion Zezes Pepto Cat in 2021.  This filly, Sacred Pepto Cat will make a great cowhorse, ranch, or roping prospect!  Lucy is currently in foal to our multiple Champion stallion, Peptos Smart Cookie!
